Marking and feedback

Session details

DIRT (Directed Improvement and Reflection Time)

This is a workshop which would be suitable for specialists in any subject.

It aims to introduce the concept of DIRT marking and to examine the benefits of providing feedback in this way. There will be worked examples to take away and an opportunity to explore how this may be incorporated into lessons of any subject. We will examine how the MFL department at Bordesley Green uses DIRT marking, and the improvements seen so far as the process becomes embedded in our practice.

Above all, the workshop aims to give you ideas which will both further the progress of your students and enable you as a teacher to reclaim some of your precious time!
