Presenting the work of the BGGS LBP pilot and its impact. Whole school plans for moving forward

Session details

Language Based Pedagogy (LBP) is an approach that integrates explicitly teaching students the linguistic structures through which knowledge is constructed and mediated as part of subject content. This workshop will consider how an LBP approach can underpin literacy across the secondary school curriculum and is designed to demonstrate strategies to help you to adapt your lessons to develop your students' language awareness and the language structures through which subject knowledge is realized.

A series of case studies will be presented from different year groups and key stages to show work in practice.
